Andy Warhol & Crazy Japanese Directors

Back from the 'Pop Life' exhibition at the tate, and jesus I'm angry. Was Warhol so up his backside that he didn't realise that basing most of your work ON YOURSELF is just sad and concieted. Call it a parody, or a comment on a consumerist society it depresses me. Just becuase he inspired so much of what is important to art, dosen't mean I have to like him!

My day was rather redeemed however by Takashi Murakami's weird 'geek-culture' film starring Kirsten Dunst. In this 4 minute video, the lovely actress  sports a dashing blue wig, and dances through the streets of Tokyo to the Vapour's 'Turning  Japanese'. Apparently it is a deep documentry into the sexuality present in 'Otaku' culture, but let's face it, it's just cute.
