After circular arguments about the meaning of Owl City's 'Fireflies', so instead of seeming to care a BIT too much about these things, I will explain.
It's about 'Owl City's (see the nifty use of an apostrophe as a speech mark) trying to escape back to his innocence, hence the room full of toys in the video.

Time goes too quickly, and poor 'city' is losing faith.

Kids don't like lie-ins, and constantly want to stay awake. Don't challenge my authority!!!
